The Tommy Hafey Club invites you to their next event, a tribute to 1969 premiership player, Michael Bowden.
This function is to help raise much needed funds for the rebuild and extension of the Michael Bowden Oval in Darwin.
Michael Bowden was a key member of the 1969 Richmond premiership team, combining with Michael Green to form a powerful first ruck partnership. He played 59 senior games for the Tigers between 1967 and 1971 and also captained Richmond Reserves to a premiership in 1971. He was a much loved club-man, who passed away last year at the age of 73. Michael devoted his life to working with indigenous people and the rebuild of this Oval will be a big part of his legacy.
The THC are thrilled to be able to hold this event and are working closely with the Bowden Family and Richmond Football Club to make it not only an event to remember – but to support such a worthy cause so that we may see the next generation of Riolis and youngsters like them have a state of the art venue to play and train on.
