Redemption will be on the minds of the Richmond players, when they line up against Carlton in Sunday’s big elimination final battle with Carlton at the MCG.
The Tigers are determined to atone for their display against the Blues three weeks ago, in Round 21 of the home-and-away season.
They led by five goals at quarter time that day (8.2 to 3.2), but were worn down by their determined opponents, eventually succumbing by 10 points.
“We were really poor with contested ball in that game and defending, which was shocking,” Richmond’s No. 1 ruckman said in an exclusive interview with the Club’s official podcast, “Talking Tigers”.
“I’m glad we’re playing them because, after that game, I’ve never felt so down on myself. And, the team, as well, was shattered with our performance that day.
“So, pretty rapt that we’ve got them, and can make up for what we produced last time we played them.”
Maric is confident Richmond will respond positively on Sunday . . .
“There’s a lot of belief in our game style and everything we do – the way we train and prepare.
“It’s just a matter of doing it on the day . . .
