Richmond's Laura McClelland will miss this weekend's clash against Gold Coast through suspension after accepting a one-match ban.

McClelland was charged with Kneeing Fremantle's Ebony Antonio, during the third quarter of the Round Three match between Richmond and the Dockers, played at Swinburne Centre Punt Road Oval on Saturday.

Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact and Groin Contact. The incident was classified as a one-match sanction as a first offence.

McClelland, 20, has made a solid start to the season for Richmond playing mainly in defence.
