Richmond’s premiership defence will begin with a clash against Carlton in the traditional season opener.
The Tigers will return to the MCG for the first time since the famous drought-breaking 2017 Grand Final triumph, when they tackle the Blues on Thursday March 22.
News Corp revealed the 2018 opening round fixtures on Thursday night, but whether Richmond unfurls the flag as the home team in Round 1 will be revealed with the full launch of the fixture on October 31.
