After playing 10 times in the 2020 premiership season, Edwards suited up 16 times last year.
The three-time premiership player dealt with ankle issues which forced him to miss three games in the middle of the year, plus three in the back end of the season.
His class and poise remains evident, however, and the Tigers will be keen for him to show that again in 2022.
