Dual Richmond premiership player Jack Graham has been rewarded for the best game of his AFL career to date, against North Melbourne at the MCG last Saturday, with maximum votes in the 2021 AFL Coaches’ Association’s Champion Player of the Year Round 21 voting.

Respective coach Damien Hardwick (Richmond) and David Noble (North Melbourne) gave Graham 10 out of 10 for the major role he played in the Tigers’ 33-point win.

The 23-year-old provided the team with plenty of drive through the midfield, over the course of the four quarters, on the back of his trademark gut-running.

He finished the match with an AFL career-high 36 disposals, career-high eight marks, equal game-high seven inside-50s, game high and equal career-high 10 score involvements, game-high eight tackles and team-high 472 metres gained.

Star defender Nick Vlastuin, returning to the Richmond line-up following four games on the sidelines due to injury, received seven votes for his top-class display. He had an AFL career-high 30 disposals, five rebound-50s, six score involvements, a game-high 10 intercepts, 437 metres gained and took a game-high 14 marks.

Rounding out Richmond’s Round 21 vote-getters in the prestigious coaches’ award were Liam Baker and Dion Prestia, who both polled one vote.
