With a decade of experience at the game’s highest level, playing through the midfield, Richmond small man Nathan Foley is well qualified to offer an opinion on the merits of the Tigers’ mature-age recruit Kane Lambert.
Foley, like Lambert, arrived at Tigerland via the AFL’s rookie draft, and made an instant impression through his professionalism and work ethic.
Lambert, a midfield star at VFL level over the past few seasons with the Northern Blues and Williamstown, has already caught the eye of the veteran Foley, with how he’s faring in the step up to AFL standards . . .

“He’s been sensational,” Foley told ‘Croc Sportsday’.
“He’s a very good runner, has a strong body, and is ready to play AFL footy.
“I think he’s an exciting prospect and he’ll add more depth to our midfield.
“If the opportunity presents, from what I’ve seen . . . he’ll have no problems slotting in.
“I spoke about it with him while we were up in Townsville, and the fact that he played against so many AFL-list players in the VFL, he feels really comfortable and ready to go.
“He’s really fit at the moment and he’s come into the Club really well, which is all he can do.”
