Houli’s contribution extends far beyond the football field – he’s a positive and influential role model for the Islamic community.
In partnership with Richmond, Houli has launched the Bachar Houli Foundation based at the Swinburne Centre, to continue his football and leadership programs for Islamic youth.
In just seven years Bachar Houli Programming has developed a reach of over 35,000 participants nationally, using football as a vehicle to help young Australian Muslim boys and girls to develop their leadership capacity and grow culturally.
“I’m very happy to continue my football career at Richmond, and to launch the Foundation that will support Islamic youth to develop their leadership and cultural connection,” Houli said.
“I’m really proud of the work we’ve achieved so far with all of our programs, and I’m incredibly excited to take our work to the next level with the establishment of the Foundation with the Richmond Football Club.”
