Rhyan Mansell became the first Richmond player for more than a year to finish a match with the elite statistics of 20-plus disposals and three goals-plus, in last Saturday’s Round 17 fixture against Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.

The feisty small forward produced the best performance of his 66-game AFL career in the Tigers’ 72-point loss.

He racked up an AFL career-high 22 disposals, including a career-high 15 uncontested possessions, took a career-high eight marks, kicked an equal career-high and team-high three goals, and had a team-high 423 metres gained.

Triple Norm Smith Medallist Dustin Martin was the previous Richmond player to achieve the impressive 20 disposals/three goals numbers in a match.

Martin had 23 disposals and booted three goals in the 2024 ‘Dreamtime at the G’ clash with Essendon.

Mansell, who kicked 21 goals last season, and finished seventh in the Jack Dyer Medal, now has 10 goals this year with seven home-and-away rounds remaining.
