Richmond has added three Tigers to its extended squad for Sunday's clash with Hawthorn at the MCG, headlined by midfielder Jack Ross for his first AFL game since Round 4.

The 23-year-old made a successful return from a foot injury through the VFL last weekend, racking up 27 disposals, four marks, six inside-50s, three tackles and three clearances.

VFL Tigers coach Steve Morris said it was "an outstanding return from a player who led really well on the day".

"Jack had an enormous impact on the game after coming on at quarter time," Morris said.

"He's missed a lot of footy this season (and) it was great to see Jack back out on the field and having a huge impact."

Also featuring in the squad are mid-season recruit Jacob Blight for a potential third senior outing, and energetic small forward Matt Coulthard, who last featured at AFL level in Round 10 this season.

Blight was best on ground in the VFL Tigers' loss to Sandringham last Sunday, collecting 32 disposals, 16 intercept possessions, 13 marks and 13 rebound-50s

"(He) was outstanding on the day... When he was in contest, he absolutely dominated the game," Morris said of Blight.

The Tigers will confirm their final Round 23 side on Friday night at 5.00pm AEDT.
