Sam Banks is putting together an impressive stretch of form for Richmond in the latter stages of the 2024 home-and-away season.
The talented, hard-running 21-year-old, taken by the Tigers with their fourth pick (No. 29 overall) in the 2021 AFL national draft, is averaging 17.4 disposals, 3.2 marks, 3.8 inside-50s, 3.8 score involvements and 350 metres gained across his past five games.
Banks produced the best performance of his 19-game senior playing career with Richmond in yesterday’s clash with St Kilda at Marvel Stadium.
He had an AFL career-high 25 disposals, career-high seven marks, career-high five marks, three score involvements, career-high five intercepts and career-high 503 metres gained.
It was Banks’ non-stop running and proficient ball use over the course of the four quarters that underlined his potential at the game’s highest level.
