Richmond ruckman Ivan Soldo has joined Port Adelaide after a trade was finalised between the two clubs on the final day of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period.
In exchange for Soldo and selection No.50 in the 2023 AFL Draft, Richmond receives selections No.41 and No.49 in the 2023 AFL Draft, and a Round Two (tied to Fremantle) and a Round Four (tied to Port Adelaide) selection in the 2024 AFL Draft.
Soldo, 27, departs Tigerland as a 2019 premiership player and Life Member from 57 senior games, having originally signed as a non-registered Category B rookie in July, 2014.
General Manager – Football Talent, Blair Hartley said “Ivan worked tirelessly during his 10 years at Richmond to go from a rookie to a premiership player.
“During his time at the club he showed great commitment and professionalism and is a much-loved teammate.
“We thank Ivan for his contribution to our club and we wish him well in his future endeavours.”
Richmond currently holds selections 29, 41, 49, 65 and 68 in this year's Draft, and Fremantle's Round Two selection and Port Adelaide's Round Four selection in the 2024 AFL Draft.
