Samson Ryan has been named in the AFL Players' Association's 22Under22 squad following an impressive 2022 season.
The 44-man squad, selected by the AFL Players’ Board, with support from Champion Data, recognises the league’s most exciting young talent.
To be eligible for selection, players must be aged 22 years or under for the entirety of the season, including the finals series, and must have played a minimum of 12 games.
Following a big pre-season, young Tiger tall Ryan has broken into the Tigers' line-up in 2023.
The ruck/forward has showcased his strong contested marking and forward craft at the highest level this season, kicking 12 goals in 14 outings to date.
The talented 22-year-old booted three goals against Adelaide in Round 2 in just his second AFL game, almost two years after his debut back in Round 15, 2021.
