Richmond VFL coach Steve Morris is excited by the talent on his list ahead of the 2023 season.
VFL pre-season commenced last week, and the Tigers wasted no time as they kicked things off with a two-kilometre time trial followed by a session on the track.
"I feel like we really placed a great base last year down with some really talented players, who the majority of which have signed on for this season," Morris said ahead of his second season at the helm.
"So, we're very lucky to have so many guys that are invested in not only making themselves better but those around them better."
It was a mix of fresh and familiar faces down at Punt Road, the team having welcomed back former VFL Tiger Garrett McDonagh after a year on Essendon's AFL list, as well as some new players.
"We've got some really great talent that have come on board, Garrett back from Essendon and Mutaz El Nour across from the Northern Bullants," Morris said.
"As well as plenty of local talent that we feel have AFL traits and we can make them into better players that hopefully we can utilise in the future.
"Most players just want to get the very best most out of themselves and we've got plenty of driven young players who want to do that."
