Richmond has confirmed the initial changes to its AFLW playing list for the upcoming season.
Christina Bernardi, Sarah Sansonetti and Hannah McLaren have each been advised that they will not be offered another playing contract at the Club.
Bernardi played 19 games for the Tigers across three seasons, including two as captain in the absence of Katie Brennan in 2020.
The 31-year-old has booted 30 goals from 39 matches across her six-season AFLW career that includes time at Greater Western Sydney and Collingwood.
Sansonetti managed 17 senior appearances for Richmond after being selected with the Tigers’ fourth selection (No. 40) in their inaugural 2019 NAB AFLW Draft.
The 20-year-old played eight games in 2022.
McLaren spent two seasons on the Richmond AFLW list and was a train-on player in 2020.
Richmond Head of Women’s Football, Kate Sheahan, thanked the trio for their contributions to the Club.
"Christina and Sarah can be proud of what they achieved as inaugural players at Richmond and we are appreciative of their efforts across our first three years in the AFLW competition," she added.
"Hannah is another that has played her part in helping to build the culture within our football program and has been a fantastic contributor to our Club.
"We wish all three players well for the future."
The list changes create at least two vacancies on the Tigers’ list ahead of the upcoming AFLW Sign and Trade Period and NAB AFLW Draft.
