The quality of character that triple Richmond premiership hero Kane Lambert possesses has shone through at VFL level in recent weeks.
Not only has Lambert been impressive on the comeback trail from a severe hip complaint, which has kept him out of the senior side so far this season, he’s provided valuable assistance and advice to the young, emerging Tiger talent, both on and off the field.
Richmond’s VFL coach Steve Morris lauded Lambert in his weekly post-game review for richmondfc.com.au.
“He’s such a humble person. He’s out there helping the young boys get better as well,” Morris said.
‘He’s in really good form . . . Didn’t play a full game on the weekend (v Carlton), but the game before (v Footscray) he was sensational, and on the weekend, once again.
“He found plenty of the footy (25 disposals, six marks, two goals) and played his role to perfection.
“Hopefully he’s taking steps towards being back available at AFL level.”
