The New Zealand-born Lefau impressed with 14 goals from 10 senior games in 2024 having made his debut against Port Adelaide in round 2.

He was appearing increasingly comfortable at the level before he was struck down by an ACL injury against Geelong in round 12.

The former Melbourne Storm academy member, who played VFL footy for Richmond, was rewarded with a two-year contract which keeps him in yellow and black until the end of 2026.
