Tyson Stengle will return home to South Australia after Richmond today finalised a trade with the Adelaide Crows.
Richmond will receive the Crows’ fourth round selection, currently pick 68 in this year’s National Draft, in exchange for Stengle.
The 19-year-old was recruited to the Tigers from SANFL club Woodville-West Torrens with pick No. 6 overall in the 2017 Rookie Draft.
The exciting small forward made his AFL debut in Round 15 of the 2017 season.
He has played two senior matches in his two years at the Club, whilst consistently impressing at VFL-level.
Richmond’s General Manager – Football, Neil Balme, thanked Stengle for his time at the Club.
“We believe Tyson has an exciting future ahead of him and offered him a new contract to stay at Richmond,” Balme said.
“Whilst we are disappointed to see him leave, he has made lifelong friends at Richmond and we understand his decision to return to South Australia.”
