Tom Lynch is officially a Tiger, after Richmond secured the Gold Coast restricted free agent on a seven-year deal.

The Tigers lodged an offer for Lynch last Friday, with the Suns today confirming they would not match it.

Lynch, 25, was drafted to the Suns with pick No. 11 overall in the 2010 AFL National Draft.

He played 131 senior level games and kicked 254 goals in his eight-year career at the Suns.

A premier key forward who earnt All Australian honours in 2016, Lynch was a four-time leading goal kicker at his former Club, dual best-and-fairest and served as co-captain in 2017 and 2018.

Richmond’s General Manager – Football, Neil Balme, welcomed Lynch to the Club.

“We’re pleased to welcome Tom to our football club,” Balme said.

“Tom is clearly a talented footballer, but he also has great leadership qualities and a strong work ethic.

“At only 25 years of age, he is an exciting prospect and has many years of good football ahead of him.

“I, like many of our fans, look forward to seeing Tom in yellow and black.”
