Richmond has unveiled its special edition Anzac guernsey, to be worn in Monday night’s Anzac Day eve match against Melbourne at the MCG.
The guernsey builds upon the foundation set with the inaugural guernsey worn in 2016.
The 2017 version includes several key attributes which pay respect to the Anzacs and all the servicemen and servicewomen that have, and still do, protect our country.
A key feature is the 2017 Anzac logo which sits proudly on the sash.
The “Lest we forget” statement appears twice on the guernsey – on the front above the PUMA locker tag and on the reverse, above the player’s number.
New to 2017, the match details also sit above the PUMA locker tag on the front of the jumper, a subtle yet strong touch, reinforcing the importance of the Anzac Day eve clash with Melbourne, now in its third year.
The remembrance poppy appears on the jumper, embedded into the fabric of the famous yellow and black jumper, in the way of a watermark.
The 2017 Anzac Day eve guernsey is a player exclusive. However, the Club is offering fans the chance to win the jumper off Jack Riewoldt’s back. Riewoldt’s match worn guernsey will be signed and given to one lucky fan who registers to win.
