Talented young Tiger Connor Menadue further pressed his claims for a place in Richmond’s senior side for the season-opener against Carlton on March 24 with an impressive showing in the Club’s final NAB Challenge match.
Menadue was one of the Tigers’ best in the loss to Port Adelaide at Etihad Stadium, generating significant drive for the team through his run-and-carry, along with slick disposal.
“I thought he was good again tonight,” said Richmond coach Damien Hardwick during his post-match media conference.
“He only had 13 touches, but his touches are so damaging when he gets them.
“I thought he did some really tough things as well. So, I was pleased with his game . . .
“He’s only going to get better as he progresses with experience.”
