Veteran Richmond midfielder Nathan Foley has suffered an injury setback that will delay his start to the 2015 season.
Foley, who was back to his best during the second half of last season, has undergone minor foot surgery and is expected to miss the first two or three rounds.
“’Axel’ had a bit of an issue with his plantar fascia and the bottom of his foot, so he needed a small release done to help alleviate that,” Richmond’s Physical Performance Manager Peter Burge told ‘Roar Vision’.

“He should only be (sidelined) reasonably short term. We’re thinking somewhere around the six-week mark, but we’ll see how he goes.
“Axel is a super-positive athlete, so I’m sure his recovery will be quicker than most.”
Foley, 29, reached the 150-game milestone with the Tigers late last season.
He’s played 154 games all-up in 10 years at Richmond.
