- He was born on November 5, 1990 (happy 24th birthday today, Taylor)
- He grew up in Dingley Village.
- He played his junior football with the Beaumaris Sharks.
- He played TAC Cup football with Sandringham Dragons.
- He was a Richmond fanatic as a kid (thanks to his mother and grandmother) and saw virtually every Tigers’ game from the age of four.
- He wore Matthew Knights’ No. 33 on the back of his football jumper and cried when Richmond was beaten by one point in the Tiger star’s last game. Knights subsequently coached him at VFL level with Geelong.
- He also idolised Richmond great Matthew Richardson.
- He was taken by Geelong at pick 49 overall in the 2008 AFL National Draft.
- He spent the entire 2009 season playing VFL football.
- He made his senior league debut against West Coast at Patersons Stadium in Round 11, 2010, as a late inclusion for Geelong captain, who pulled out with a back complaint.
- He is allergic to peanuts, but loves cashew nuts.
