Richmond is set to welcome former Melbourne goal-sneak Aaron Davey to the Tigers’ VFL team for his first game of the season, against the Northern Blues this Saturday at the ME Bank Centre.

The 31-year-old retired from AFL at the end of last season, but was snapped up by Richmond to add to the Tigers’ inaugural standalone VFL team.

Set to play his first game since overcoming a knee injury, Davey will add run and forward half pressure to the Tigers’ line-up as they look to topple the Blues and stay in touch of the top eight.

Young key forward Liam McBean also makes his return, after spending four weeks on the sidelines with a broken finger.

The match starts 11am on Saturday at the ME Bank Centre, and is another curtain-raiser game to the senior team, which takes on Fremantle at the MCG at 1.45pm.

A reminder that 2014 Richmond members gain free entry to the Tigers’ VFL matches, and the Jack Dyer Stand is now available to fans for seating, bringing crowd capacity at the venue to approximately 4000.

If you can’t attend the VFL match, don’t miss any of the action and tune in to Richmond VFL Radio for a live call of the match. The digital radio channel is available via Richmond’s official app or by logging on to richmondfc.com.au.
