Richmond will support The Alannah and Madeline Foundation (AMF), the Club’s preferred charity partner, this weekend at their Round 21 clash against Carlton.

The Alannah and Madeline Foundation is a national charity aimed at keeping children safe from violence and bullying and its devastating impacts.

Richmond supports AMF’s Better Buddies Framework through the sponsorship of 10 schools nationally. The Better Buddies Framework strives to create positive social outcomes for those experiencing disadvantage and social exclusion.

As part of the Club’s partnership with AMF, Richmond small defender, Steve Morris, has been running a series of sessions at Berengarra School in Chadstone.

The sessions aim to empower the students by helping them to understand how to build resilience within themselves in times of adversity.

The final outcome of the sessions is to help the students of Berengarra School to become positive role models in the community, and help to teach younger students about the importance of empowerment and resilience, so that younger students feel more confident to work through the different challenges that life can sometimes present.

To raise awareness of the Club’s partnership with AMF and the charity’s important work, the players will wear special purple warm-up tops before the game, and the Club will host activities and fundraising on the day.

Richmond’s valued sponsor, Harvey Norman, is showing its support on the day by inviting three students from Berengarra School to participate in the pre-game activity on the MCG on Saturday.

Harvey Norman will also donate a DeLonghi coffee machine (rrp $899) to Berengarra School, which Steve Morris will present when he returns for his third and final session with the students next week.
