As the young Richmond captain prepares for his century milestone game against the Gold Coast Suns at Cairns’ Cazalys Stadium this Saturday, here’s a snapshot of the key achievements so far in his league career . . .
- Winner of two Jack Dyer Medals (2011 and 2012).
- Runner-up in the 2012 Brownlow Medal.
- All-Australian selection in 2012.
- Winner of the AFL Coaches Association’s Player of the Year award in 2012.
- Winner of The Age’s Player of the Year award in 2012.
- Took over the Richmond captaincy late last year, making him the youngest Tiger skipper in more than 100 years.
From a pure statistical viewpoint, Cotchin is averaging 22.4 disposals in his 99 games, with an average of 4.5 clearances per match and 3.8 inside-50 entries.

The talented 23-year-old has racked up 25 disposals or more in a game 38 times, with a career-high 38 against Geelong at Etihad Stadium in Round 18, 2011, and against Gold Coast at Cazalys Stadium in Round 16, 2012.
He has kicked 58 goals all-up, scoring a career-high four against Fremantle at the MCG in Round 7, 2011.
The most marks Cotchin has taken in a match is 10, which he achieved on two occasions – against Gold Coast in Round 16 last year, and against Essendon in Round 22, 2012.
