Richmond goalkicking great Matthew Richardson believes former North Melbourne forward Aaron Edwards can have a significant impact in the Tigers’ line-up.
“I think he’ll be a great foil for Jack,” Richardson said on the first 2013 episode of the Club’s official podcast “Talking Tigers”.
“He’s a hard-working half-forward, he hits up at the footy, he’s a nice kick, good mark, and he’ll open up space.”
Edwards, 28, was traded to Richmond last October in exchange for pick 74 in the National Draft, following a 78-game, six-season career at North Melbourne that netted him 122 goals.
His best season with the Roos was in 2011 when he played 19 games and kicked 36 goals.
In 2012, he booted 17 goals in nine games.
