Richmond captain Trent Cotchin will miss Saturday’s Round 7 clash with Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium due to knee soreness.

He has been joined on the sidelines by Dylan Grimes (foot injury), Ricky Petterd (calf injury) and Ty Vickery (concussion), while Matt White has been omitted.

The Tigers have recalled midfield star Nathan Foley and selected mature-age ruck recruit Orren Stephenson to make his debut with the Club.

Foley hasn’t played for Richmond since rupturing the Achilles tendon in his right foot last July.

But he’s progressed steadily in the VFL with Coburg over the past few weeks and is now ready for his AFL comeback.

Stephenson has been in outstanding form at Coburg all season after being taken by Richmond in the league’s 2013 rookie draft and subsequently promoted to the senior playing list.

He played eight games in his debut season of AFL football with Geelong last year and was a member of the Cats’ VFL premiership side (his fourth VFL flag success in five years, following his three at North Ballarat).

Also returning to the Richmond line-up on Saturday are Shane Tuck, Jake Batchelor and Robin Nahas.

The three Tiger emergencies are White, Aaron Edwards and Matt Dea.
