Richmond AFLW has confirmed its line-up for Saturday afternoon's Qualifying Final against Brisbane on the Gold Coast

The Tigers will welcome back skilful defender Maddie Shevlin when they meet the Lions, who returns after sustaining an ankle injury in Round 6.

Shevlin was a key performer in Richmond's upset win over Brisbane back in Round 5, collecting 24 disposals, eight intercept possessions, 659 metres gained and 10 rebound-50s and five coaches votes.

The 25-year-old replaces Meagan Kiely, who has been omitted. The Tigers' three emergencies for the clash are Kiely, Kodi Jacques and Sarah D'Arcy.

Richmond's line-up for its inaugural final appearance features 15 players who will be running out in their first ever AFLW final.

One such player, Gabby Seymour, an inaugural AFLW Tiger and former Richmond VFLW player, said it was "pretty awesome" to have been a part of the entire journey.

"A couple of us were reflecting back over the years and thinking 'gee, three years ago, we didn't think we'd be in this position'," Seymour said.

"It's really encouraging to say 'hey, we're three years down the track and we're doing a lot better now'.

"It's pretty cool to play finals final, but we also don't need to do anything too different to what's been allowing us to be successful every week this year... It's exciting but it's also another week.

"We'll do our best to get the job done."

Six Tigers; Katie Brennan, Monique Conti, Jess Hosking, Grace Egan, Bethany Lynch and Shevlin, will enter the match will prior AFLW finals experience.

Vice-captain Sarah Hosking will miss the clash with an adductor strain, but is a chance to return for the Tigers' next final.

Superstar midfielder Conti will celebrate her 50th AFLW game on Saturday, while teammate Ellie McKenzie will notch up her 25th.

Saturday's final, which kicks off at 3.10pm, will be broadcast live on 7mate, Kayo, Fox Footy and the AFL Women's app.
